Offset and charcoal smoker cleaning
A serious smoker earns its buildup, but there is a line between seasoning and creosote. Once the cook chamber turns tacky and black, you're tasting old smoke on new brisket—and airflow has usually gone with it.
What we actually do
- Full firebox teardown, ash removal and grate deep-clean
- Scrape hardened creosote from the cook chamber lid and walls
- Clear the exhaust stack and intake dampers so airflow is restored
- Clean and re-condition cooking grates and water pans
- Inspect for burn-through, warped baffles and failing gaskets, and report findings
- Re-season cooking surfaces and confirm the smoker drafts properly

- Will you strip the seasoning off my smoker?
- No. We remove creosote glaze, ash and grease, then re-condition the cooking surfaces. Good seasoning stays.
- Can you clean a smoker and a gas grill on the same visit?
